RADIATION PROTECTION OF BIOTA ON THE RADIONUCLIDE CONTAMINATED TERRITORY

I. Gudkov

Abstract

The ways of living organisms’ protection against accumulation of radionuclides and the action of ionizing radiation on the territories contaminated by radioactive substances, caused by radiation and nuclear incidents, are considered. The main idea of anthropocentric, ecocentric and eccentric approaches to radiation protection of human, plants and animals are expounded. It is proven that main means of protection in out of sharp period of accident development is the limitation of radionuclide uptake to the organism.
