Abstract

The following research is focused on significance salmonellosis in the rapidly expanding poultry industry. Specifically, exploring areas of pathogenesis, cultural properties and biological properties of salmonellosis in broiler chickens. This research study was conducted using 350 chickens (up to 100 days old) and 107 chickens (160-200 days old) on poultry plants in the Cherkassy region of Ukraine. Standard methods for carrying out the research involved epizootological, clinical, pathological, bacteriological, serological and immunochemical methods of analysis. Detailed investigation of salmonellosis cultures and properties were also conducted in the experiment. Study findings indicated a high mortality rate in those chickens infected with salmonellosis and show detailed characteristics of salmonellosis strains isolated on the Cherkassy poultry plants.
